UltraPure water is an established requirement in modern laboratories. Avidity Science has over 25 years of experience supporting laboratories with high-quality water purification solutions. With the introduction of the Solo™ S, the company has redefined what laboratories should expect from a modern system.
The latest enhancement to the Solo™ S platform allows laboratories to produce up to 20 litres per day of Type 1 UltraPure water directly from tap water. This increased capacity ensures that laboratories with growing demand can maintain productivity without investing in larger, more complex systems.
What differentiates the Solo™ S is its approach to sustainability
Traditional water purification systems rely on single-use consumable cartridges that contribute significantly to laboratory waste. The Solo™ S has been engineered with a reusable cartridge design, allowing internal media to be separated, cleaned, tested, and reused. Switching to this type of renewable product reduces both plastic waste and carbon emissions associated with consumables.
The system automatically enters an energy-saving mode during periods of inactivity, while an optimised pump and membrane design reduces both water and energy consumption. The packaging has also been carefully considered, with plastic-free, fully recyclable materials used throughout.
The Solo™S was the first water purification system to achieve My Green Lab® ACT® Ecolabel certification, providing independent, third-party verification of its environmental impact data. This gives laboratories confidence that sustainability claims are backed by fully transparent, measurable data.
Importantly, these sustainability benefits do not come at the expense of performance; the Solo™ S delivers consistent Type 1 UltraPure water suitable for critical laboratory applications, supported by intelligent monitoring, intuitive controls, and reliable system operation.
