Filling of products with plant extracts

Preparations with plant extracts are often viscous and therefore difficult to fill. If the product is to be used for human consumption or cosmetics, it must not be contaminated during the filling process. Peristaltic pumps make filling such products easy and guarantee consistent results.

OutCo, a San Diego plant extract product manufacturer uses a Hei-FLOW Ultimate 120 with SP standard pump head and Tygon 2001 tubing for this step. This means that, among other things, 17 ml of MCT oil mixed with plant extracts is bottled.
